I keep getting this tap-secure.rubiconproject.com
This keeps popping up when I try and use Safari. Is this Malware and how do I get rid of it? Is my computer at risk?

I have no extensions installed. I 'only' get this message when trying to play Words With Friends on Facebook. Also occasionally Safari will simply quit unexpectedly while playing Words With Friends on my iMac. I am thinking that it has something to do with a tracking cookie or something, but I have no idea? Any help is appreciated. I will unwind my day wt couple Words With Friends moves, but this message popping up every 1/2 minute or so, is not relaxing.
Thank you
Just a guess, but you may have picked something up when visiting godaddy.com. Unfortunately my message, doesn't appear to have any recognizable organization, unit, or common name associated wt it. I've looked into my extensions. Safari, preferences, extensions, and I don't think I have an extensions installed. If I do, I don't see any way to see & disable them. Sometimes I get this popup, every 30 seconds, when paying a game on Facebook, while other times, I can go ten minutes w/o seeing it. All that I can say, is that this popup is a pain in the arse.
I keep getting the same pop-up "Safari can't identify the identity of tap-secure.rubiconproject.com" when playing a few games on Facebook also. It's just started recently. I've reset safari it didn't help. I've deleted all cookies, that didn't help either. I have no idea how to disable extensions on OS 10.8.5.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you have this story on your iphone then:
Go to privacy ,then advertising, and then press : Reset advertising identifier.
You will get rid of this silly story,
I got this problem on my iphone, that solved it .
It's an ad that is showing up via google ad placement. You will find a rubiconproject.com cookie set in your browser. Open Safari preferences, select Privacy, click the manage website data button. scroll though the list of cookies, select the rubiconproject.com cookie and delete it.
Oh, you should close all browser windows before deleting the cookie, otherwise it will just be resaved.
One more thing, it is not malware, it's just an ad campaign whose website certificate happened to expire today.

My extensions are turned off ... LOL, so thats why I couldn't view them. I turned them on, and have no extensions installed. So it's got to be something else ...
Thanks, for the suggestion.
