How do I restore to factory settings, an iPad, if I do not have the iCloud password it is connected to?

I was given my Uncle's iPad after he passed away recently and I have tried to restore it but am unable to because we do not know his iCloud password to remove it from his iTunes account. Please help. Thanks.
