Q: how do I share a calendar with family sharing?

I was able to set up family sharing on icloud but the other parent in our 'family' can't see the family calendar. How do I change that?

iPad Air, iOS 8.1.2

    Under Apple's Family Sharing details, the calendar should automatically be created and shared once they accept the invitation to join your family. You could try to see if the calendar is hidden by going into calendar and tapping calendars on the bottom and see if "family" is checked.
