Has anyone figured out how to slow down the speed of the speech when the voiceover is reading text on a page? The turtle and rabbit icons on the pop over screen do not seem to have any effect on the speed of the voice. Thank you.

Thank you. This seems to have no effect on the speech rate. Moving the slider all the way to the left or right does not effect the speed. When returning to the speaking rate the slider has defaulted back to about 1/3. Bug?
Make a backup. Restore as new. Test the issue again. If it persists, you likely have a hardware issue. Get Apple to service/replace the device.
I wanted to know if anyone figured this out? I have been having the same issue on different devices. I like the ability, however the speech rate is way to fast and can not be adjusted by the use of the speed slider. TJBUSMC1973 can you try a PDF on your phone or IPad in Ibooks and tell me if it works for you?????
