Option for changing country/region does not show

I Use IPad IOS 8.

I want to change the region from United States to The Netherlands, but there is no option to do this.

I logged in to Apple Store and chose View Account. The option does not show.


I Searched the community, but no solution found that helped me.

Just to add a little more detail to what Gail stated .... step by step procedure....


Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID. Tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go to Country/Region in the popup window to change your region store.

I reallly did follow Demo's instructions. These apply to the Setting in the IPad and that is how I found out that the region setting in these Settings is different from the region in the iStore. Should the iStore automatically synch with the region in my local Settings? It does not seem to do that. So, once again: how can I change the region in iStore for Billing information and Shipping informatio?

If I go to my Apple ID via Settings, so locally on my IPad, then it states Netherlands as the region which is what I want. But if I go there via Safari, to ITunes and view my default Billing Information, it states UnitedStates. I think it must be Netherlands as well there, but there's no option to change it. So, still my question: how to get it right in my Billing address (part of Payment Information).

I'm confused now as to what you need to do and what's not working. The whole part about using Safari makes no sense, but I could very well be misunderstanding you.


Whatever your region is set to in the iPad settings should sync to the settings in the iStores ...iTunes, the App Store and the iBooks Stores on the iPad. Try this now. Go to the iTunes app on the iPad, swipe to the bottom of the screen in the featured tab. Tap on your ID and sign out. Then sign back in again and see if you are prompted to change to the store that you want to be in.

I'm sorry, you want to change the the Apple online store, not the iTunes, App Store and iBooks Store on the iPad. That's a totally different thing that what I was explaining.


Go to store.apple.com and swipe all the way to the bottom of the screen. Look in the lower right corner and you will see the Select a Country option with a US flag symbol. Tap that and you will be able to select Netherlands in the next screen. After you tap on that you will be in the Netherlands Apple online store.
