can't download the software because of a network problem

I have spent 20 hours trying to install windows 8.1 pro 64 bit on my macbook pro(latest model)

I created a ISO image of my windows dvd, put it on my desktop.

Inside bootcamp where it asks for the Iso Image, I set this to read the ISO file on my desktop

Inside the Task Status window, I see the text "formatting selected drive...", which then changes to "Copying Windows files..."

When the loading % bar in this window reaches around 50%, a window pops up stating.

Can't download the software because of a network problem

I have tried this 10 times now, its the same error over and over, there is nothing wrong with my internet connection or networking, what is the issue?

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)

I am having the same problem - retrying for the past month or so! 😟 Sometimes 10+ times a day!

Please if there is any alternative - I am very far from any Apple Store - need to cross borders to get to one (I am staying in Lesotho).

Many users have complained about not being able to download the BC drivers/software for the specific models (after 2013+). Apple allows direct downloads of the software for Macs up to 2013. Try to call Apple Technical Support or visit an Apple Store, if possible.
