How does "do not disturb" feature look to others?

When I have the do not disturb feature activated, I do not receive calls, texts, or alerts from other social media applications. If someone sends me a text while I am in do not disturb, how does the message appear to them? I know if someone's phone is off completely it does not say "delivered" until they turn on again. Just wondering if this was also the case if someone is in do not disturb. In addition, if someone tries to call does it go straight to voicemail, or ring a number of times first?

Hopefully that makes sense. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

What do you mean how does it look. It looks just the same as it always was. They'll be told the message was delivered. That does not equate to it having been read, just like if they sent you a message when the phone wasn't on DND and you didn't open messages and read it.

As for phone calls, they should go immediately to voice mail.
