ipod 2nd generation won't connect with windows 8

My ipod shuffle 2nd gen. wont connect to itunes with my dell windows 8 😢

Hello Alina,

From what I gather from your post, it sounds like your iPod isn't recognized on iTunes or your computer. I have linked to an article that can help in this situation:

Windows

iPod appears in Windows but not in iTunes

iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows

iTunes reports that "iTunes cannot recognize this iPod at this time"

Thanks for the reply. I clicked on the second link as it seems to be where there may be a solution. However the article is for an ipod touch. Mine is an ipod shuffle-2nd gen. I followed the steps but they didn't work (instructions about taking a screen shot, i.e.). 😟
