Is there a decent iOS email client?

I'm considering switching my mobile phone from an Android device to an iPhone -- I've been using an iPad for a few months (since iOS 8 came out) and it's pretty good. However, the one problem I've had is the lack of a decent email app, as far as I can tell. On Android there's a client called AquaMail which offers pretty much all the options you can find on a desktop client; for example, you can choose whether to write in plain or rich text, which views to use, and where to type when replying to an email. The iOS clients I've found don't do all these things. The options are very limited. They force views -- for example, you can't get a full-screen view of a message on some clients, even in portrait mode on a small iPad; it insists on displaying the message list down the left side. And it always insists on top posting when replying, and putting your signature above the included earlier message. On some mail lists, top posting is banned.

Is there any email app on iOS that's anything like as flexible as AquaMail? I would have thought not being able to compose in old-fashioned plain text. with arrow markers for the included content which you can snip out and insert text between at will, was a pretty basic feature. All desktop email clients worth their salt have it.

There are other email clients in the iOS App Store.

You are not stuck using the default iOS Mail App.

I use this email client called simply

Email

Email - mail for Gmail Yahoo iCloud & Hotmail by Edison Software Inc.

The most recent update adds a few more email services, so read the update details!

This is a real beautiful email app to use and, if you are a large iPad Pro user, then this email app's UI really shines!

This app only works with listed compatible services with IMAP accounts only!

One of the real nice things about this app as it has a setting to allow the Safari web browser to open right up inside of this mail app.

Which is super convenient and quick!

If anyone can use this iOS Mail app replacement,

You're Welcome and Good Luck!

I like the mail app that comes with all iDevices. In portrait mode it lets me view the email fully, without the list of other emails on the left. I'm on an iPad mini. If you explore YouTube and the Internet a bit you'll find lots of tips for the mail app that let you do pretty much anything (at least anything I'll ever need).
