Oct 14, 2015 3:32 AM in response to Vootshiby Wimmmmm,I'm on ElCapitan, Chrome 45, and the problem still exists.
Tried on the same long page:
. scroll past end of page,
. with a single finger downwards at the end of page
. on Magic Mouse
. on a local URL. When trying to find a public site with the same behavior, I didn't find one quickly...
Result:
. Chrome 45: goes back, while showing the back-gesture icon at left of screen
. Safari 9: nothing happens
. Firefox 40: nothing happens

Nov 3, 2015 10:03 PM in response to Wimmmmmby origin1,Interestingly if you define the keyboard commands for these actions as the macro for your programable mouse (most have a back/forward button for the thumb) you'll get the same result.
Meaning I don't believe the mouse is the culprit here whatsoever.
A couple tips though if you click in whitespace as others have mentioned (essentially take focus away from other elements on that page) then fire off the keyboard command or swipe motion you'll get desired results.
The proof of this is when you're in say an element that has multiple photos or something you'll navigate through the focused element instead of navigating. This is essentially why clicking in white space works since you're taking focus away from an element with a tab index.
Perhaps this will confirm the behavior others are seeing so you know you're not crazy ha ha.

Jan 26, 2016 7:05 AM in response to avaleiby pieter070,+1 here. It's driving me insane to a point were I almost regret I have changed my old logitech for the magic mouse 2.
This together with the fact that my MBP doesn't recognize the mouse after it has been on standby, but only after a full shutdown and restart has almost made me throw it through the office.

Feb 29, 2016 8:37 PM in response to avaleiby YinYangster,I had the same problem lately. I tried checking my mouse preferences, they were OK. This fixed the swiping problem for me (using Mavericks). I shut off the mouse power button, removed a battery, waited 30 seconds, put the battery back in, then turned on the magic mouse power switch again and waited for it to 'connect' (small window will appear telling you are connected. Tried using the mouse two finger swipe back and forth worked again just like new. I would try that first. It may reboot the mouse. Works fine now.
