Snap! I just activated my new - unlocked - iPhone 6s- on boost mobile network. No one at the Apple store had ever activated one for Boost. So I left there frustrated but equipped to handle it myself.

  • Purchase UNLOCKED IPHONE 6S
  • Make sure that apple store has a Boost nano sim card. KEEP THE CARD. On it is the - ICC ID, it is the number bellow the bar-code. You need this number.

(The Grove- is a busy Apple Store and they had only one. They inserted it for me but couldn't activate it. Nano sim card for Boost -FREE.)

BOOST 1-888-266-7848

When you call customer service you need: your cell number and pin

MEID number located on the back of the box.

ICC ID number on card Nano Sim Card was attached to.

I explained that I wasn't able to locate a boost iPhone anywhere. I was transferring my active boost number to this new iphone. I asked her to input my new iphone's MEID into the Boost system. The Boost Rep was great. She apologized for the difficulty and would stay on he line to make certain my cell was activated. She mentioned this usually takes anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to update. I offered to give her the ICC ID... She thanked me and 10 minutes later my iPhone was activated...

the end

You realize that you're replying to a post that's over a year old? Things change rapidly in technology. That's why there's usually no sense in resurrecting old, dead threads.

Glad you got your phone activated.

Still not making sense for me but it's their business!

Locked/unlocked is a kind of meaningless concept in the CDMA world. In order to activate a phone on a CDMA carrier, the phone's IMEI and other information has to be loaded into the carrier's database. If it is not, the phone won't activate. While it is theoretically possible for a carrier to load the information into the system and make the firmware changes to a phone not intended for use on their network, as a practical matter, they simply don't offer that service.
