Q: apple ID hacked

My apple ID seems to be hacked..I´ve RESETed my whole phone and loaded backup from iCloud and during this setup it asks for an apple ID password of someone else..not mine.

Is this a known problem or am I first? What can I do? Creating whole new apple ID would work, but I don´t want to do that yet if there´s another way Thank you for any help.

That might be the case if any of the purchases (likely songs or movies) where downloaded from a third party. For example, when you download from torrent servers a file that was originally purchased with that account, you will be prompted by that password.

At what point are you being asked for this password? Is this a used phone? If it's happening when you're trying to activate the phone, you need the passcode to the Apple ID that was used to set up the phone originally. If it's happening when you try to update apps, you must have apps on the phone that were purchased under a different ID. Delete them and you shoudl be fine.

So, you've selected to restore your iCloud backup from your own Apple ID.  Then it asks you for the password to another Apple ID, fully displayed, right?

That means you had content on the device that was backed up to iCloud that wasn't yours.  What file-sharing website did you go to to get that media content that you didn't pay for?

We need a little more information to answer your question. Did you purchase this phone new from an authorized source like an Apple store? Or did you buy it from someone on the street or did you buy a used phone?

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Go to Apple ID site and make sure all your contact data is all right. Note that Apple IDs are linked to a country, so you only will be able to purchase in that country's App Store.

Additionally, you can Sign in to the Store in your account from iTunes in your Mac or PC and check there the payment methods and addresses also.

I´ve bought my phone from someone I know, who had it for one week and he bought it from original APPLE store. that dandy.. appleID is 100% not his, niether mine.

When I´ve bought this phone from him, I´ve done full recovery and created new appleID and since then installed only free stuff, all with my appleID...not a single one PAID. I don´t use torrents and stuff like that.

After i make restore and select backup from iCloud- everything works fine, but for some applications to be installed-it asks for someone-elses´ appleID- but this process I can skip....it just scared me a lot, if my appleID wasn´t hacked by that person.

and BTW, when I googled that persons´ email-appleID,(2 hours before this post on this site) it finds at least 2-3 websites about apple, hacked ID and stuff, coincidence?

Store > View Account (email) if you are signed in, if not you will see Store > Sign In... Once in your account you will see your Apple ID and Country / Region. If you have more than one account, you can view all of them one at a time and switch accounts to make sure all of them are updated.

It can be pretty scary. Glad you got it figured out. Make sure you have a password on your phone.

Yes, it was.  The file that you downloaded has metadata that knows what Appel ID was used to download it.  When you added it to your iPhone, and then made a backup, that metadata was also remembered.

The intent is that if someone has more than one personal Apple ID, and they have content from more than one Apple ID on their device, to authorize the re-download of that content.  When I restore my iPhone from iCloud, I chose to restore from my main Apple ID, and am then prompted to authorize content from my other two Apple IDs.  That's normal.

In your case, you had content on your device that didn't belong to you.  Your Apple ID wasn't hacked.  The process worked exactly as intended.  To avoid it in the future, don't download iTunes or App Store content that doesn't belong to you.
