Does the first generation iPad A1219 (Wi-Fi, 32 GB) connect to LTE?

Does the first generation iPad A1219 (Wi-Fi, 32 GB) connect to LTE? Sometimes our older iPad A1219 just crashes. I was wondering whether this is due to the fact it doesn't connect to the LTE in our area but still has to rely on 3G, like the old 3GS iPhone, which we still have. We have a second iPhone, which is 5, which connect to LTE, and this never happens. Is this the case with the first generation iPad?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1, 32GB

I don't believe the first iPad is LTE compatible.

Only the iPad model A1337 can connect to 3G - the 1219 is WiFi only -- see the table for the iPad at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad

LTE did not exist when the first iPad was being made. As such it cannot connect to it.

With that said the 1219 model iPad is Wifi only, it cannot connect to any cellular network whatsoever, only Wifi. so whatever is causing it to crash is not LTE or lack thereof.
