How do I include a hyperlink in a Numbers Cell?

I'm told Microsoft Office for my Mac is bogging down my system, so I am giving Numbers (3.5) a try. I critical thing I need is to include hyperlinks in the cells. How do I do that? In Microsoft Excel I would simply need to Insert/hyperlink.

Or, if it simply cannot be done, what are people using as a work around? Different program?

Thanks for any advice.

Doug,

You have at least two options. You can type or paste link text into your cell, select the text and type Command-K to open the Hyperlink dialog, where you enter the URL.

Or, you can use the function HYPERLINK to do essentially the same thing, except that the URL and Text can be the results of expressions (calculated). Beware that in Numbers 3, the Paste shortcut is buggy and replaces forward slashes with divide symbols, which won't work as a URL, so if you paste into the HYPERLINK argument space, you will have to go in and correct the text manually.
