Q: My Apple TV keeps dropping ,

hI hope someone can help ive had my atv for about a year and ahalf and haven't used it because of this issue the picture keeps dropping out using AirPlay and even on the menu screen it comes back and goes repeatedly to the point that u can't watch anything ..and sometimes it doesn't come back on or flashes between menu and black screen . I've checked all connections and even replaced the hdmi cable but still same issue.

Is it just Airplay that you have problems with.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Hi thanks for your reply . I have tried what you said and still the same its not just during AirPlay it's even the atv's menu screen blinks on and off constantly as if it was a faulty cable or connection but both are ok .
