Since I cannot reply to discussions-replies@apple.com
I assumed you were employed by Apple because you are writing from an apple.com address. I am not concerned with my dumb test post being removed. However, I do think that the problem with timing out if you take too long composing an original post (in the browser) should be corrected.

The Apple Support Communities site is malfunctioning you have basically answered your own issue - when creating a NEW Question - and in anticipation of it being long - do it external and paste it
The reason why you were stymied the first time is a known (by many here, but not by new folks) glitch - your session was Timed Out because of perceived inactivity. Oddly, a long REPLY session PREVENTS being logged out! So, external editor is NOT necessary for replies.
When you say "I got an email from Apple saying that you removed it" - you must understand that we are NOT Apple - just users helping users. Without seeing the post that was removed, I can't say what about violated the Apple Support Communities Terms of Use. ⬅ accessible at the bottom of all forum pages - sometimes our gracious Hosts are strict and others lax.
see you around
