How to use bluetooth car adapter to skip / back 15 seconds in Podcasts App

Just got an IPhone 6.

Here is my usual scenario. I am listen to a Podcast while driving, and I have the iPhone 6 paired to my bluetooth adapter.

Once in a while I would like to press the 'prev'/'next' button on my bluetooth adapter to rewind / advance the podcast for 15 seconds (I may want to listen to a sentence again or skip some sentences). However the iPhone Podcast app skips to the next podcast on pressing 'next' and rewinds all the way to the start of the podcast on pressing 'prev' on my bluetooth adapter.

This used to work beautifully on my previous windows phone. Can I get it to work on IPhone too ?

Best solution I've found so far is to download the Overcast app, which does exactly this.

I use the PocketCasts app and that works well for me. I love it for exactly the reason that you mention above. Don't know why Apple's native podcasting app would not use something as simple as this in its app. I have searched previously and I think this is the most popular reason for people to go to third party vendors.

If only there was a way to have all the Third Party apps use the Podcasts downloaded by the Apple app instead of managing subscriptions in them.
