Jan 6, 2015 11:55 AM in response to Nielby paul.thompson,I actually came here from that page. My iPhone (6+) and Mac (15" Retina 2013) are both on the same WiFi network, both have blutooth turned on... my phone has AirDrop turned on (at my home, I switched it from Contacts to EVERYBODY to eliminate that problem).
My Mac actually "sees" my iPhone - but clicking the iPhone icon in the Finder/AirDrop window does nothing. On my iPhone, I see the AirDrop section in iPhoto - where the video I want to copy over is - but the AirDrop section shows no devices. This is in iPhoto, selecting the movie, selecting the SHARE icon, then looking at options. I can export to YouTube, Facebook, etc., but AirDrop is non-functional. I thought there was a trick I may be missing... I even tried manually "pairing" my iPhone in my Mac (OSX 10.10 - latest build).

Jan 6, 2015 12:00 PM in response to paul.thompsonby paul.thompson,I should add that what I *do* see in my iPhone is the AirDrop icon next to the text "AirDrop. Share with people nearby. If you don't see them, have them turn on AirDrop in Control Center on iOS, or go to AirDrop in Finder on a Mac." No list of available users above...
My router is a Netgear without IP isolation enabled - I share files via Macs, Windows, FTP (etc.) among all my 192.168.x.x devices. I double-confirmed that both the notebook and the iPhone were on the same WiFi network.
