What do I do with a bent, and cracked iPhone 6?

I have an iPhone 6, and my cousin had dropped it from about 2-3 feet, so it was bound to crack.

However, I booked an appointment at the nearest Apple Store and the Genius said that there was a slight bend to the phone. I don't understand how the bend happened, but I know that dropping it from 2-3 feet would not have caused it. As a result, they said that they can't repair it, they can only offer me a refurbished phone, for £236.

I've saved up the £90 to purchase the screen repair and extra money for train tickets to find out there was no point in coming.

Finally, the website doesn't state anything about a bend voiding the repair of a cracked screen.

You have been told by the Apple Store genius bar .There is no alternative

They cannot fit a new screen to an iPhone that has further damage

This is the cost for replacing the screen and fixing any additional damage. We'll charge this amount if your iPhone is eligible for out-of-warranty service and our diagnostic test shows additional damage. So even if I send the phone in for the £86 repair, they wouldn't repair it?

this is because my case is now logged onto apples systems. so even if your technicians could sort it out, it wouldn't be done because of the diagnosis of the apple Genius Bar?

That's correct. Any damage that requires more than just a screen repair means the phone has to be replaced.

Despite having joined several months ago you clearly haven't worked out yet that this is a user to user community They are not my or anyone elses here

Apple do not read nor respond here

It is quite simple Apple will repair ANY damage before replacing the glass .Since a bent frame is NOT repairable then you either bin it or buy the out of warranty exchange unit
