Safari redirecting to App Store Lyft app.

seems like half the time I click on one of my bookmarks in my IPhone Safari I get redirected to the App Store directly to the Lyft car share app. Nothin I can think of fixed this.

FIrst I click on a bookmark (let's say the Girl Genius webcomic.)

IT starts to load then gets hijacked somehome and redirects to this site:

https://103136.api-02.com/serve?action=click&publisher_id=103136&site_id=15282&i nvoke_id=2014&ref_id=199785_54abc490ea079_15010612&mac_address=&odin=&ios_ifa=&s ub_publisher=199785&sub_site=&sub_adgroup=7301&sub_ad=&sub2=mobpartner&sub_campa ign=passenger_usa_display_managed_ios

then I get a pop up : can not open address because link is invalid and it immediately takes me to the app stores Lyft site.

I'be been an Apple consumer since my first II-E in the 80's. I've never been able to not figire out an issue before coming to the forums.

This is a knowm problem gang, stop treating the guy like he's doing something wrong. There are articles and stories all around about shady ad companies building App Store redirect code into their ads and its a difficult bug for the web sites to squash.

It's getting unbearable to me - I get redirected to the App Store via a site api9.net on a huge range of common websites - tech crunch, huff post, distractify, nytimes, even foreign policy magazine! The redirect happens before I can read the content, and impacts me on iPad and iPhone, both upgraded to iOS 8.4. But it's been happening to me a lot in past 6 months. It impacts on safari, but not chrome - problem is chrome crashes fairly regularly for me. Seems to me a fault in safari JavaScript that needs to be urgently fixed.

Not a good long term solution. The issue is malicious ad networks so it's not affecting everyone. I live in Singapore and it gets me on about 80% of the sites I visit - sends me to various shopping and coupon apps for Singapore.

It's a very unfortunate business practice that should be illegal - but I see this as a fault in Safari that it allows this. Chrome doesn't have the issue (at least for me), but chrome on iOS frequently crashes. All in all very annoying. Apple are you listening?
