Jan 6, 2015 6:42 AM in response to CompilerGuruby Barry Hemphill,Was the mouse connected to the other device recently? If so, it needs to be deleted from that device. BT devices may only be paired with one thing at a time.
Reset the PRAM.

Jan 6, 2015 7:43 AM in response to Barry Hemphillby CompilerGuru,Thanks Barry- I reset both SMC and PRAM. Still have the problem. This iMac has been to the shop 2 times for hardware failures. First the hard drives failed 3T setup, then the power supply failed. I am trying to get on with my developer work. Thanks goodness my MacPro is working fine and this wireless mouse works on it. I therefore believe that somehow since last night something corrupted the mouse driver.
