messaging girfriend and I can see she is replying because of the 3 dots, but didn't get a reply. I no she might of hit the space bar, but she said she wasn't typing, could this be bad signal ?

That's what it's supposed to mean. That particular "feature" of iMessage is notoriously twitchy. You can't count on that to actually 'mean' anything.

It could mean anything, like I said early it isn't anything to worry about has nothing to due with signals.
I know exactly what you're saying, just because you see the dots doesn't mean she is typing.

She could have typed a letter (even by accident) then switched to another app. She could have typed something then decided not to send it. She could have been messaging someone else. Bottom line is she didn't send you a message which would probably mean she didn't have anything she wanted to say to you at that time. Don't worry about it.
No, or it could mean she was reading the message.
Mine does that too, there is nothing to worry about.
no the 3 dots mean she is replying. She text me saying night then xx. After that the 3 dots were still there but I didn't get another txt
I've seen it too and there doesn't seem to be any reliable way of knowing who's doing what - or not doing. I wouldn't worry about it.
