Quicksilver 2002 won't shut down. . Need help.

Restart hasn't been working either, only holding power button in for several seconds shuts it down. I tried your two suggestions with no luck. Didn't know I had to type in "reset-nvram", Etc., but figured it out. it started up after the last command. Thanks so much for your time!

I went back to where it said something about "hangup" or something, then copied down. There are still about five or six postings, and they all mentioned something about "Menustrip'. Heres what I got for you:

Hi,

Tried all those things,but still no-go. U booted to my Utilities disk and ran Diskwarrior to no avail. Selected my main drive to boot to and it restarted fine. Gotta be something in the software of that one Drive. Here is the latest readout from Console. Thanks again for your help! (BTW), the computer had no name before.

Yes, my "Backup Disk" is a Firewire Drive.

The computer starts,restarts and shuts down from the Firewire Drive. I tried the energy saver trick. - No-go. This is getting a little complicated. Are you suggesting that I remove all items from the two startup items folders, and say maybe put them in folders on the desktop to save them? Then replace them a couple at a time to find the bad one? Will the machine run with nothing in those folders? I haven't backed up my machine for a while, but I compared the startup folders in my backup Drive and main Drives. In the System/Library/Startupitems they both had the same number of folders and they were named the same. In The Library/Startupitems folders, the backup Drive only had a folder named Protecvb. The main drive had this folder plus one named autorunkit. I don't know that any of this matters... Frustrating, isn't it? Thanks again!

There is a BbEdit document called StartupParameters.plist, a Unix executable file called RunKit, and another Unix executable file called autorunKit, that when I double-click opens "Terminal", Which has the following text:
