Airdrop

I have a iPhone 6+ and a iPad mini both with my username. When trying to airdrop, i see others in my family sharing or people around me. But i do not see my iPad from my iPHone or visa versa (both with same username logged in. Why dont i see my other device as a option. Previously, when it was under my daughters setup and credentials i could see it. Is it something with them both being logged in with the same username/password?
