iPhone 6 no longer "compatible" with Bose III SoundDock

I have had a Bose Soundock III (see link below) for the past year and a half and it has worked perfectly with my iPhone 5 and more recently iPhone 6. Over the past few months I keep getting messages saying "this accessory is not compatible". Sometimes the message comes on after a few minutes and sometimes after a few hours. I primarily use the dock in conjunction with My Alarm app to wake me in the morning. The charging function works, but it won't play music through the speaker. I am using the most current version of iOS 8.1.2. Is there a fix for this? Seems like BS that Apple would have disabled the use of this product seeing that it was specifically designed for lightning bolt connected apple devices and sold at Apple retail stores? Thanks

It uses a different connector and I think to continue using it with an iPhone 6, then you'll have to buy a new connector or an adaptor.

I have a Bose portable that connects via Bluetooth and there is no problem connecting the iPhone 6 to it - smaller and more compact than the SoundDock, but still good quality sound and even more portable.

Purchase an adaptor or a new connector or consider purchasing another kind of dock that has the ability to connect via bluetooth.
