Whatsapp - stuck on waiting or install

First, reset all settings from Settings > General > Reset

Then I would make a backup using iTunes, resetting to factory settings and restoring from your backup. I have seen that error but it was caused due to developer certificates, if you are not an app developer that does not apply.

Had the same problem and tried all the suggested solutions in this thread but lastly I solved it by persistently clicking the download button several times for the app in the itunes store until it started downloading. I would recommend trying the other procedures mentioned first just to clear things up. It seems to me that this might be a server "irresponsiveness" issue.

I had the same problem. I just restarted my phone...and the installing app icon vanished 🙂

Any chance you were using any beta from them? Does any other app updates correctly when using the App Store app > Updates? Do you have a developer account?

Try signing out in Settings > iTunes & App Store > tap on Apple ID > Sign Out

I would -

Delete the app from the phone

Do a reset

Then try to re-install
