The bottom cover of my mac mini won't open

I Bought RAM upgrade kit 8gb for my late 2012 Mac mini i5 500 gb and it won't open no matter how much I try. I have the dots aligned at the bottom correctly but it won't come off as easily as I have seen in YouTube videos.

There have been a few incidences of the cover being less difficult than

it appears, or if the pressure (force) is too great in trying, it jambs further.

This repair guide and comments tells about how or how it should be

removed... maybe a few serving suggestions, but similar recipe.

Most sections involving access for any all processes inside, start with

the removal of that metal cover. Perhaps you've tried too hard?

{I've yet to decide if my similar MINI, will be around long enough for me

to add RAM or not. Mine's a i7 'QC' server, sealed in retail factory carton.}

Hopefully you can talk nice to the Mini and it'll open up for you.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

Hopefully you were able to successfully utilize the RAM upgrade in your Mini Late2012 model.

Just happened across this thread to see somehow the dates of original replies were marked as

April 9, 2015 when I know that both were in January on the same day you asked the question.

So, this is a follow-up to inquire and wish you well in any event.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
