can I use a 5V 1.5A adapter to charge iphone 6 plus ? will it affect the battery life or blow up the phone ?

As long as the charger provides 5 volts, and the amperage is sifficient, it should work. Higher amperages have no effect at all on the iPhone. The phone controls the current, not the power supply.
