Bluetooth devices won't delete from menu
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
Don't use the ✖ in the bluetooth menu, it will just try to re-pair the device. Instead do the following:
1. Click on the BT icon in the menu with holding down the option key.
2. Choose the device and use the remove option in the menu.
Done.

Hello Nickpennekamp25,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Have you tried to delete the pairing this way:
To delete a pairing with a device, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Bluetooth. Select the device you want to delete in the list, and click Delete (-). The next time you want to use the device, you may have to pair with it.

As you can see from the picture, they do not show up on the Bluetooth menu from the system preferences.
I would ignore it. If it bothers you, I would try deleting the preference file. I "think" that is com.apple.bluetooth.plist. I say "think, as I am away from my Mac at the moment.

Wow! Thanks. This did the trick for me. This answers the original problem, and solves it without any added hassle.
jeffd55 --How can I undo the "This helped me" for your post? I meant to click on the answer WC_Ente posted, since that's what solved the issue.
Very helpful - thanks
