Can you use iAuthor books on iPhones

If you mean can you read them, then the answer is yes they can be read on an iPhone. If you mean can you use iAuthor on an iPhone, then the answer is no you cannot.

    If you mean can you read them, then the answer is yes they can be read on an iPhone. If you mean can you use iAuthor on an iPhone, then the answer is no you cannot.

    Thank you Kappy.  I did mean can I make an iBook with iAuthor on my computer and then read it on my iPhone. 

     

    The Apple info seemed to indicate that you couldn't: "You can use iBooks for iPad or iBooks for Mac to read books created with iBooks Author. You might need a specific version of iTunes or iBooks to use iBooks Author."  (Frequently Asked Questions re iBooks; Apple Support Oct 31, 2014

     

    as did this review from Time: "But Apple being Apple, iBooks is visually sumptuous–especially in the case of “Made for iBooks” books, which work only on the iPad and Mac versions of iBooks, not on the iPhone one." (Time May 30, 2014).

    No, you cannot read books produced by iBA on an iphone.  They require an iPad or a Mac running OS X 10.9 or higher.

     

    For books to be read on an iPhone, you must use .epub format.  The apple app for making that is Pages.
