I know this is for when playing content in iTunes and asking to authorize iTunes repeatedly to play it, but give the article a shot to make sure that your computer is authorized with the right Apple ID as well removing the SC info foldler and then authorizing your account again.

Before I got your reply. I was so fed up I contacted Apple Support and was put through to the Philippines Call Centre.
THe lady was brilliant and contacted several others for advice. She accessed my computer screen and guided me through the process.Turned out there was a corrupt file in my Users Folder.
