iMac turned off during OS X installation and now it won't start up.

I was installing OS X snow leopard into a late 2006 iMac when i tripped on the chord and the iMac turned off while installing and now when i try turning it on i only get the LED light in the front and the fan noise nothing else. help !! please !!!

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Did you double check the cord to make sure it was not damaged in any way? Made sure the plug is secured tightly on the back of your iMac?
