External iPad sim-card Reader

Hi,

I am basically looking for any help on finding one of these as i cannot find one anywhere. I am looking for an external sim-card reader for my iPad. I have purchased an iPad Air 2 WiFi only, and wanting to use internet away from a WiFi network (On the go). I am aware that there are network providers such as EE and Three UK that provide a personal mobile hotspot device, but these are far to expensive (Cheapest seen is £20/month for 15GB of data).

Is there a device that could read a 4G unlimited data sim only plan and transfer the internet data to my iPad in any form?

The reason I am asking this is because I am currently in my last year of education and requires a lot of online research, and would help to be able to research my subject when I am travelling (but also being as cheap as possible).

You can buy another device, MiFi, which will connect your wifi devices to a cellular phone network. I'm sure there are other devices around with the same capability.

Contact the celular service you want to use. Ask about there MiFI devices. Check on prices.

Unless you have a smart phone (like an iPhone) with a cellular plan that will let you tether your cellular data to another device, that's pretty much your only choice... There may be other carriers that offer prices you consider more reasonable.

Of course, if you have an iPhone and your carrier allows tethering, you can use the Personal Hotspot feature to tether your iPad to it.
