Error message: "iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPhone "xxxxx" because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone."

This message is meaningless & provides no useful information. I've also tried replacing the contacts on the iPhone with the contacts from my PC's Outlook Contacts, and received the same error message.

Has anyone run into this before? I am using a Windows 8.1 PC with MS Office 2007, Outlook contacts.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

Hello BillM39,

Have you tried out the steps in the article below? It has troubleshooting options for when you are having issues syncing anything from Outlook to your iPhone. Make sure to have a back up of your iPhone first before going through options like resetting the Sync History as well as disabling any Outlook add-ins that may be the culprit.
