ipod nano 7th gen not recognized

Ever since I got an error message saying an ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly.

None of my computer recognize it. Wont even charge.

Brand new. Just plug it in 2 days ago to charge. eject it. Seen charge was still low. Plug in again.

ejected but got occupied with itunes install. And never unplugged. Then seen above message. hit OK are something on screen.

Not sure if I ejected it 3rd time when it gave me message or if I should have

Now it is a small paper weight. That doesn't know it is plug into a perfectly good power source.

Tried reset or reboot.

Tried most everything I read in last 2 days.

Now it is dead with enough juice to tell me to plug it in.

Any help would be great

Howdy Macster43,

It sounds like you have been through a lot of the troubleshooting mentioned in this article, but please see if there's anything missed that you can try.

For example, when you say you've tried a reset or reboot, does that mean a restore to factory settings?
