Facebook notification centre doesn't work

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with Yosemite. If you are not seeing notifications for a specific application or service (such as Facebook), but are still able to use other functions of that app/service through Notification Center, you may want to double check that Notifications haven't been turned off for that specific app/service. Still doesn't work.

Just like it.smenikos, I recently changed my facebook password and after update it in fb settings/delete fb account and re-add it and check that notifications of FB is Banners/Alerts, it does not show up like before. Really annoying to the person using fb quite often like me.

I'm having the same issue. From the number of people reporting it it looks like a bug.

Have tried reseting everything, no luck. Notifications work fine on iOS though.

I have a MacAir with 10.10.1 osx

Mine's okay at the moment, but instead of showing the person's name and what they said (message preview), it just says "new message" and it's blank! I don't even have the option to view a message preview in my notifications anymore 😟

I have a 2015 MacBook pro with El Capitan 10.11.5

After trying literally everything (delete/re-ad account, check notification center settings, deleting plists, inspecting console logs) the only thing that worked was deleting my Facebook account (not just from the mac system preferences, actually deleting the entire account) and recreating it.
