Hi !
Do you have a jailbroaken iPhone?
I am having the same exact problem for my chrome browser on my macbook pro. please help!! it seems like a lot of people got this within the past two days...
1. Download and use free AdwareMedic to remove the adware
http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php
Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done, quit AdwareMedic.
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .
Turn those on one by one and test.
I have the same issue. I removed all common viruses according to the support page. no luck. I also installed a trial version of Norton. still no luck. Tried AdBlocker extension...no luck. I use safari on a desktop mac. This is a VERY annoying ad injector, so much that my family now uses our old Windows PC with Chrome.
Agreed, I had this problem previously and ironically had the same issue today. The adwaremedic was a quick fix.
Adware Medic did not take it out
Yes I do
Adware Medic did not work
Adware medic did not work and I found no extensions under preferences
adware medic worked for me! thank you!
Adware Medic worked! thank you!
Thank you Dominic. I have tried everything else over the last 2 days and your advise is the only thing that has worked. Thank you ever so much for sharing!
I had same issue and northing worked until finally able to fix the problem! I don't know what version of system you have but I just upgraded to Yosemite and it worked.
Please take a look at "OS X Yosemite" support communities's "How can I remove ad by PJS-4.2 x" Jan 9th, 2015 comment from rom Link Davis. Good luck!
If AdwareMedic didn't solve the problem, did you look here:
