Should I be concerned "Verify Disk Permissions" overload

Honestly I check and repair permissions monthly.

I just used my computer today to scan documents and attach them to an email.

I decided to verify my disk permissions today and repair anything that needed fixing and I found a ton of items that are showing permissions differ

Should I be concerned?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

You don't need to repair permissions every month.....probably doesn't hurt anything but it isn't necessary.
