Q: iTunes startup and shutdown issues
Hi all,
Approximately every 4th or 5th time I startup iTunes, the following happens:
1. iTunes takes a LONG time to startup. It normally is a one bounce and in affair but in this scenario it will take minutes to load.
2. After it loads, iTunes no longer recognizes any connected devices included an iPhone, an iPad and wifi connected iPods that are normally visible and sync fine.
3. Quitting iTunes takes an inordinate amount of time as well. Again, instead of a second or two to quit it can take about 30 seconds.
A complete reboot fixes this problem for again, about 4 or 5 start/quit cycles. Then it happens all over again.
I've relocated my iTunes library to/from an external drive without any change.
Anyone else seeing this or more importantly, can anyone offer a fix? Rebooting is quick but annoying.
Thanks!
