Jan 9, 2015 6:41 AM in response to luuklpby Kren,Thanks -- I know it's possible generally, but I was hoping someone with this specific drive would be able to confirm,
i called WD and the guy said yes -- but at first he did not know that there was software to create a bootable drive, so I'm dubious of his competence.

May 21, 2016 11:35 PM in response to Krenby Sjfipad,I can't get Start Up disk in System Preferences to see a bootable partition on the Ultra. However, I can get my mini running El Cap to see the bootable partition if I connect the Ultra after shutting down, restarting, and then plugging in the Ultra after Startup Manager has loaded. I get Startup Manager by holding down the Option key during startup. I don't ever want another Ultra.
