Can anyone shed some light on whether or not it is possible to create a PAL format DVD with FCP X or Compressor 4. We have a short film that was shot on DSLR 1080p 24 fps, edited in FCP X with typical settings. IE - ProRes, 23.98fps, Surround
I have always just exported DVD or BluRay using defaults within FCP X which would be NTSC from what I understand. So not sure if it is even possible to export as PAL.

DDVD is pretty limited. If you must have a PAL resolution DVD you need a PAL project at PAL frame rate. Every other frame rate in DVD is at NTSC resolution. Hollywood rules.
So is there a way in FCP X to convert my existing project to PAL? When I try to create a new Project I do not see any options for PAL.
RReally? When you make a new project, select custom. The first popup has a PAL option.
LOL. Sorry, I was clicking on the wrong Custom option. Had only looked at Render Options. Got it now.
