Jan 9, 2015 5:25 PM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby Ethan7988,Apple devices are very virus-resistant. But I do not believe they are virus proof. Most likely it is not a virus just because of how rare it is to get one on an iPad. I also looked on some other discussions and some people say it is impossible to get a virus on iOS devices.

Jan 9, 2015 5:38 PM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby annefromsantaclarita,Ethan, I also saw the discussions about how viruses are nearly impossible. I checked my setting, and pop-ups are blocked. And no matter where I am, it is always a page from that particular website I mentioned. The page varies, but it always from that site only. A site I have never been on, as far as I know. But of course, could have clicked on it by accident on a link somewhere.

Jan 9, 2015 5:48 PM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby Skydiver119,It's probably an ad on that page. You can try to go into settings, safari and clear the history to see if that gets rid of it Or stop using the site or look into ad blocking apps. I use Weblock. It's not perfect but it puts a stop to browser hijack ads.

Jan 9, 2015 6:47 PM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby Lyssa,Are you seeing this happen just when you're at home?
If you go elsewhere, like a coffee shop or a public library and use the wifi there, do you end up having issues using the websites?

Jan 10, 2015 8:27 AM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby AliceXII,I had the exact same problem, but on my iPhone 6.
I got redirected from Serebii.net (a very trustworthy page with close to no ads) to lemode-mgz, I have no idea where I got it in the first place...
It did stop after I cleared History and Website Data, and hasn't been back since (crossing my fingers).

Jan 10, 2015 3:03 PM in response to AliceXIIby Hambue,Same exact problem with lemode-mgz.com taking over (on my iphone 6) when using RMLS.com. No pop-ups or ads--just automatically redirecting me everytime I tried to search on, or even visit the sight. It was making me crazy (and because misery loves company, I was comforted hearing others were having the same issue.) I just tried clearing History and Website Data in Settings for Safari (thanks, AliceXII) and it seems to have worked for me too. Hopefully that's the end of that, but it's a little disturbing that it was happening at all!

Jan 10, 2015 7:47 PM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby Hambue,Did you try clearing history and data? That worked for me, for now. My husband also told me to turn on private browsing. He was having the same problem, and it hasn't happened again in private browsing mode. Hope it works for you!

Jan 11, 2015 5:35 AM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby thomas_r.,These kinds of problems are typically caused by visiting a page that is malicious or has been hacked. That page displays a malicious scam message of some kind. The immediate solution is to clear website data from Safari, according to the instructions at the bottom of this page:
Safari web settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
To keep the problem from recurring, be sure to avoid whatever page you visited that caused the pop-up. If this is a legit site, it may have been hacked. Notify the site owner(s).
If this continues to happen with a wide variety of sites, you may have compromised network hardware. See:
How to manage a hacked wireless router

Jan 11, 2015 6:42 AM in response to annefromsantaclaritaby Rcrowley32,Same problem here. Block pop ups is enabled. Cleared all browser history. Still doing it'.
Also, my videos aren't loading. They are playing sort of like stop motion. Just random pictures from the video.
