i have about.blank virus in my browser

I was trying to too complete a project when I was prompted that my Adobe Flash needed upgrading

I went to download, but never completed when it requested I check mark the box to use mac keeper

I just left the page did not follow through

I was off my mac osx for maybe about a week

Today my browser has about.blank

I went into my downloads and deleted all adobe and another suspicious looking downloads

I moved to my trash and emptied

I still don't know how to get this malware from the mac off

Please help as I don't know how much time I have left before it completely takes over and I am unable to perform anything more to get rid of it
