Audio Loop Region to MIDI region

I found an interesting command by mistake that now can no longer replicate.

In short, I copied one region containing the "Shaker 19" loop and by mistake I touched some keys that created a new track and pasted the region, but converted to a MIDI region. I find this very useful as it gives you the power to start form a loop, convert to MIDI and make adjustments and changes, but I'm no longer able to replicate the key sequence.

I attach the screenshot. You see in the bottom track the new track created with the MIDI region that is a copy of the track just above.User uploaded file

Someone know how to redo it?

That sounds to good to be true - I wish it were!

I suspect it was the other way round, you can paste midi loops into real instrument tracks and they are converted to audio loops, but I have never seen an audio loop turn into midi, when pasted into a software instrument track.

Looking at the loop you used, I see that Shaker 19 is a green software instrument loop, and when I drag it to a real instrument track, it will turn into a blue loop.

Pasting the original loop will result in the green loop, but I do not know of any way to paste a real instrument loop to a software instrument track as a midi loop.
