Happy New Year! In the iBooks application on your Mac, if you pick a category, like "Best of 2014" or "Best New Fiction" then click on the "See All" link on the right side of the page, you can choose to sort by name, release date, or featured.

The typical book is about 2 MB. Books that contain enhanced features, such as audio or video, vary in size depending on the content. Enhanced books might take longer to download or require a Wi-Fi connection to purchase.
The iBooks Store also offers textbooks that might be as large as 1 to 2 GB in file size. You might need a Wi-Fi connection to download them from an iOS device. Download times for textbooks vary depending on your Internet connection.
What digital book file types does iBooks recognize?
- iBooks supports the EPUB file format and PDFs.

On previous releases the 'new' section had a "see all' and that is no longer there. Also when I go into 'All Books' to see all. I can only sort by All-Time best sellers and by name. Not very helpful..

There is no 'all books'. However there is 'all categories', but it's still divided into categories. If you select 'see all' under 'Literature and Fiction', for example, you are able to select 'release date'. If you were to select 'Best books of summer' you only have the option of 'Best sellers' and 'All-time bestsellers'.

Do you have iTunes 12 installed on your computer? As mentioned above, when I choose a category, like Best New NonFiction, and then choose "See All" at the top-right corner, the release date is one of the sort options:

This no longer seems to be working with the latest update (iTunes 12.5.4.42). In my case, Browse > Genres > Rock > New Music See All > Release date (selecting any of these, Featured, Name, does not work). OSX 10.12.2
How do you browse the catalog by release date? I would like to see all the new releases in specific catagories but it seems that feature went away. Or can you browse the whole catalog by release date?
