Software instrument track - volume gets to zero

Hi to all!

This is the first time in Logic Pro X that I try to work with a MIDI instrument.

I've opened a new Software instrument track, I've loaded a synth sound. Everything works fine.

While I'd make the song play, I want to improvise with my keyboard and find a melody.

As soon as I start playing the song, the volume of the Software instrument track gets to 60.0 by itself (the volume button of the mixer track gets very low) and I don't hear anything anymore. I put it manually back to zero, to head something, and it starts all over again few seconds later.

I'm sure it's a tiny thing that I don't know, but I'm confuse.

Thanks for you help!

You have a midi controller that is causing this and it has probably 'recorded' this as a Midi CC in the region in a track.

Use the event editor to remove the offending CC from any such region... by selecting a region and then opening the Event List

Look for CC #7 (Volume) and maybe #11 (Expression)

If it happens again, check your midi controller is not accidentally sending volume CCs (or you dont move the vol control/slider on your midi controller) when you are recording...

If you find that you have musltiple regions with Volume CCs in them and you want to get rid of all of them at the same time...

David's excellent little tutorial on using the transform feature to achieve this.. will help.
