Q: Somewhere is lost disk space
I used several disk programs to find out where is lost the free space. I used i Disk Inventory X to find out. But somerthing wierd is going on.
The App sais that i have used 248GB on my 499GB Harddrive. Also i have 60G of free space according to Disk Utiliy.

Also trash is empty, iPhoto Trash is empty, and so on.
But where is rest of 191GB
Can somebody help he with that

Re-index Macintosh HD.
Spotlight reindexing will take a while to finish.
System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy

If you don’t have Macintosh HD icon on the Desktop:
Finder > Preferences > Sidebar
Enable Hard disks under “Devices”.
