All i want to do is get ALL of my photo's and video's from my iphone 5 onto my pc
Thats not too much to ask is it?

What happens when you connect it to your PC?
Is it recognized as a camera?
it shows up as an expernal storage device, i right click and select "import photos/videos"
Tells me i have 962 items
i click import
the folder it imports too only contains 800 some odd pics
I cant wait until i can upgrade to andriod, used ios for so many years and just getting fed up with how everything seems over complicated

That's probably a limit of the software you are using to import your photos. Or some of them are not in the Camera Roll folder.
I don't know how if you can at all using itunes so i have only tried windows, if you can in itunes i cant figure it out.

You start by installing iTunes, if you haven't yet. Not for iTunes, but because installing it also installs the needed Windows drivers. Then you treat the iPhone the same way you would any digital camera. Connect it with the USB cable and it will appear in the Camera and Scanner Wizard in Windows or in Image Capture in Mac OS X, or, if you have configured a photo manager in either it will appear in that. For example, I have it configured to open in Google Picasa. But it could also be Microsoft photo manager, or Adobe Photoshop Elements, or on a Mac iPhoto.
Your iphone should show up as a camera. If this isn't working on your PC you would have the same problem with Android.
You don't need iTunes.

If you're using a Windows 7 computer/laptop, connect your iPhone to it using the USB cable that came with your iPhone. An AutoPlay message should pop up on your PC screen. Click the 2nd option, and it should import all photos on the Camera Roll. 🙂
