Q: receiving update emails from apple but not verification emails

I am trying to sign on to ICloud on both my IPhone 6 and on Icloud on my laptop. I receive update information from Apple but no matter how many times I resend the verification email, I don't receive it.

I have ensured that the email did not go to SPAM. I have searched through my whole inbox. I am checking the correct email id. Please help!

If you have not received your Apple ID verification email, then please follow the steps in the article linked below. Since you have already checked your spam and searched your email account, you will start on step 3.

If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support
