On my new iPad, running IOS8.1.2 I receive attachments from someone using Outlook as windmail.dat files. With an app I can open attachments.
However, others in the group, also using iPads, receive these attachments as Word files.
Not sure why this happens only on my machine ? Thanks in advance.

i'm aware of the 'Outlook isue'. However, colleagues also running iOS 8.1. Receive the SAME attachment ...sent by the same sender....as Word files.Ergo I'm thinking that it is most likely an issue with MY settings..???
Do your friends / colleagues have the Word or Office app downloaded to their phone?
